About Disposable PE Aprons

A disposable PE apron is the workhorse of wet food handling — the single item most operators on a wet line wear from the first cut to the last. Ours are made from waterproof polyethylene that repels blood, juice and water, keeping clothing clean and dry through meat, poultry and dairy work. They are lightweight enough to wear comfortably for a full shift, and cheap enough to change the moment they are soiled rather than working on in a contaminated apron.

The knee-length cut covers the torso and upper legs — the right length for standing work at a bench or line, where a longer apron would get in the way. Because they are single-use, there is no washing, no drying and no risk of carrying contamination from one shift into the next; each operator starts clean and disposes of the apron at the end. Available in blue and off-white, they also suit simple zone colour-coding.

As a manufacturer and exporter, Disponord supplies PE aprons in bulk to food processing plants, catering operations and industrial users across Europe and the Gulf, with the consistent specification and reliable resupply a high-volume consumable demands. For wetter, heavier work — seafood and fish processing — our ankle-length PE long aprons give fuller coverage.

Frequently asked questions

What are PE aprons used for?

PE (polyethylene) aprons protect clothing from moisture, blood and contaminants during wet food-processing tasks. They are a high-turnover consumable in meat, poultry, fish and dairy plants where operators need a fresh, liquid-resistant barrier through the day.

Are PE aprons waterproof?

Yes. PE aprons are made from polyethylene film, which is fully liquid-resistant — that is their main purpose. This makes them suitable for wet tasks where cloth or non-woven aprons would soak through.

What is the difference between a PE apron and a PE long apron?

A standard PE apron covers the front of the body to around knee level, while a PE long apron extends further down the leg for tasks with more spray or standing liquid. The choice depends on how much coverage the task needs.

How are PE aprons supplied?

PE aprons are a first-class polyethylene, single-use, high-turnover item supplied in bulk for facility-scale use. As a manufacturer and exporter we supply consistent specification across reorders so wet-line supply stays reliable.

Are PE aprons suitable for HACCP-controlled environments?

Yes. PE aprons are suitable for use in HACCP-controlled food processing environments, especially wet zones where their liquid resistance matters. HACCP is a facility-level food-safety system rather than a product certification, so the aprons form part of a plant's hygiene controls.
