About Disposable Boot Covers

When the wet reaches above the ankle, a shoe cover is not enough. Disposable boot covers extend waterproof protection up the lower leg — the level of coverage that slaughterhouses, seafood plants and heavy washdown areas actually need. Ours are made from durable polyethylene in a choice of 40 or 60 micron thickness, so you can match the weight to the job: lighter for general wet areas, heavier where the environment is more demanding and tear resistance matters most.

A double rubber elastic top holds the cover firmly around the calf so it stays up through a full shift instead of sliding down, and the fits-all-sizes cut means one specification covers every operator on the floor. The anti-slip sole is essential on the wet tile and drainage floors these are built for, and the tear-resistant material stands up to the rougher handling of an industrial meat or fish operation without splitting.

As a manufacturer and exporter, Disponord supplies boot covers in facility-scale packaging — 250 pieces per box in roll form for easy dispensing — to meat, seafood and dairy plants across Europe and the Middle East. Reliable bulk resupply and a single consistent specification keep the wettest, highest-risk zones of a plant properly protected day after day.

Frequently asked questions

When should I use boot covers instead of shoe covers?

Boot covers extend up the lower leg, so they are used where protection needs to reach above the ankle — wet processing floors, wash-down areas, and zones with standing water or heavy spray. Shoe covers only cover the foot, so in genuinely wet meat, poultry and seafood areas a boot cover gives the coverage a shoe cover cannot.

What thickness are your disposable boot covers?

Our boot covers are available in 40 micron and 60 micron polyethylene. The 60 micron option is more robust for demanding wet-floor and wash-down use, while 40 micron is lighter and more economical for lower-intensity zones. Both are supplied on a roll, 250 pieces per box.

Are the boot covers waterproof and anti-slip?

The polyethylene construction makes the boot covers liquid-resistant, which is why they suit wet processing areas. They are also designed with an anti-slip finish for safer movement on wet floors. For specific floor conditions we can confirm the current specification on request.

How are boot covers packed and supplied?

Boot covers are supplied on a roll, 250 pieces per box, which keeps dispensing clean and orderly at high-traffic entry points. This format suits facilities that get through boot covers quickly at wash-down and wet-zone entrances and need reliable bulk resupply.

Are disposable boot covers suitable for HACCP-controlled environments?

Yes. Disposable boot covers are suitable for use in HACCP-controlled food processing environments, especially wet zones where footwear hygiene and liquid protection matter. HACCP is a facility-level food-safety system rather than a product certification, so the boot covers form part of — not a substitute for — a plant's overall hygiene controls.
